JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in the construction industry.
- Experience with excavators, skidsteers, bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Basic understanding of construction principles, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
- Willingness to work outside in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills

JOB DUTIES
The Equipment Operator is a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of an excavation company. They are responsible for operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders to move earth, gravel, and other materials at construction sites. As such, they must have experience with and knowledge of the equipment they operate, as well as a strong understanding of safety procedures. The following are the job duties and requirements for an equipment operator role.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment and perform necessary repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate excavation and grading.
- Use equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth, rock, gravel, and other materials as required.
- Coordinate with other equipment operators and construction personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
- Assist with other construction-related tasks as needed.
