Job Overview
We're growing again! The BriarPatch Childcare Cottage, located in Sherwood Park, Alberta, is actively seeking dynamic, experienced and compassionate Early Childhood Educators to join our vibrant team. In this role, candidates will be responsible for creating nurturing and engaging learning environments for young children between the ages of 0 to 6 years old. We have a separate OSC Division that will be seeking team members prior to the Fall as well.
The ideal candidates for the Cottage will have a natural passion for working with children, a strong understanding of early childhood education principles, and experience in caregiving and classroom management. Potential Educators must be open to having a Leadership Team who help guide, plan and execute the daily routine of the centre, while acknowledging the personal experiences of each Educator.
We are seeking Educators who truly embrace the philosophy of Learning through Play but also have the ability to seamlessly incorporate a number of teaching styles and methods, including Reggio Emilia, Waldorf Early Learning and Montessori Education. Those who have taken Flight or are familiar with the aspects will be considered first. Candidates who are not familiar with these may still be considered if there is a commitment to being mentored, and there is a desire to learn from our current team. Educators who are playful, enthusiastic, creative and nurturing fit our style. At the Cottage, team work offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's development and learning during their formative years.
