Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and responsible Bus Driver's to safely transport children to and from school each day. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. This role offers an opportunity to contribute positively to the community while maintaining a professional driving record and demonstrating mechanical knowledge of vehicle operation.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate buses according to traffic laws and company policies
- Transport passengers such as children to scheduled destinations
- Ensure passenger safety by enforcing safety rules and maintaining discipline on board
- Maintain cleanliness and basic mechanical checks of the vehicle before and after routes
- Communicate effectively with passengers, staff, and dispatchers using clear language and active listening skills
- Keep accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and any incidents during trips
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger questions or concerns professionally
Requirements
- Valid Class “G” or higher Ontario Driver’s License for 2 years minimum
- Proven experience working with children or in customer service role preferred
- Strong communication skills for interacting with passengers, staff, and community members
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, patience, and reliability in all interactions
- Clean Driver’s Abstract (Paid for by Healey’s)
- MTO Medical Evaluation (Paid for by Healey’s)
- Clean Vulnerable Sector Record Check (Paid for by Healey’s)
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
