Job Summary
We are seeking a carpenter helper to work on our construction site. We are a respected developer of multi-unit residential properties in Halifax/Dartmouth and have current and future projects that will provide long term employment for the right candidate..
APPLICANTS MUST BE RESIDING IN THE AREA CURRENTLY AND ELIGIBLE TO WORK.
Carpenter Helper Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades.
- Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
- Level earth to fine grade specifications.
- Clean and pile salvaged materials.
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
- Perform routine maintenance work.
- Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while on the job, including wearing proper safety clothing and gear.
Carpenter Helper Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Physical strength and stamina.
- The ability to safely use hand and power tools.
Work Conditions
- Job is physically demanding – you may have to work with power tools, lift heavy materials and kneel or crouch for long periods of time
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
