Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welding/Fabricator with Oxy-acetylene and site welding experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components using various techniques and tools. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and proficiency with welding processes such as MIG and TIG. The Welder/Fabricator will contribute to the production of high-quality metal structures, and assemblies in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oxy/Acetylene experience
- Site welding
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals to assemble components accurately
- Use plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to shape and modify materials
- Rigging and handling heavy materials using cranes or forklifts safely
- Measure materials precisely with calipers and other measuring tools to ensure proper fit and alignment
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into larger structures or systems such as ductwork or construction components
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper equipment handling
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) and fabrication processes within manufacturing or construction environments
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery, schematics, and assembly techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment
- Knowledge of rigging, crane operation, forklift operation, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience working with ductwork or in construction is a plus
- Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and best practices
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Basic understanding of schematics for troubleshooting and assembly purposes
