Job Description :
Reporting to the Coordinator of Administration Services and Student Experience, the incumbent is responsible for developing, planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating all activities relating to the student experience, particularly in sports.
What you'll conquer every day
- Ensure, in each of the activities under his/her responsibility, that the student experience is at the heart of priorities and that these activities are aligned with the mission, values, and vision of the College;
- Participate in the preparation, management, and monitoring of the budget for the sports sector;
- Plan, organize, and coordinate all activities related to sports, in particular: sports and activities offered at the College, recruit coaches and stage staff, develop and organize calendars and timetables for activities, competitions, and sports activities, etc.;
- Attend various sports events in his/her sector. Support the organization and ensure the smooth running of these activities;
- Act as a resource person, support, and facilitator with our coaches to provide our student-athletes with the best student experience;
- Promote respect for the image of the College, in particular regarding uniforms, sports equipment, etc.;
- Offer, plan, and coordinate intra-mural sports activities;
- Recruit and keep engaging students as team players;
- Advice, suggest, and participate in the purchase of specialized equipment and materials;
- Suggest, recommend and help students in the organization of extracurricular activities;
- Coordinate the community activities by assisting students in the development and implementation of activity programs relating to the community dimension of life student;
- In collaboration with the communications professional, may be called upon to develop, organize and carry out various communications for their sector of activity on our different platforms;
- When required and necessary, represent the College at meetings related to student life, at regional, provincial, and national levels;
- May be called upon to coordinate the work of support staff in his/her sector;
- Participate in the organization of special activities such as Local, Regional and National Championships, the Open house, graduation, banquets, etc.;
- When required, may be called upon to participate in various committees of the College;
- Perform all other related tasks when required.
Requirements :
- Must hold an undergraduate university degree in an appropriate area of specialization, particularly in the following areas: physical education, recreation, kinesiology or animation, and cultural research.
- Have a good understanding of the college sports scene, the RSEQ, sports development, and the sports offered at the CEGEP (hockey, basketball, golf, volleyball, soccer, cross-country, and tennis)
- Have a good knowledge of hockey
- Great communication skills in English and French (written and spoken)
- Ability to develop quality long-term relationships
- Client service oriented and a good listener to our students and partners
- Action and result oriented
- Ability to prioritize, plan and organize
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to build quality teams
Required Tests : The candidates will be required to submit to English and French language tests.
Work Schedule : Monday to Friday 35 hours a week
Salary Scale : from $54 862 to $91 023 per year
