Sure Green Landscaping & Snow Removal Inc. is looking for a Shop Manager who is responsible for planning, organizing & supervising. These responsibilities include the direct supervision of the crew leaders, employees, equipment and inventory. The Shop supervisor is ultimately responsible for all shop operations, personnel, vehicles and equipment, safety and selected overhead expenses and should attempt to maximize the Company’s profit margins. Essential Job Functions:
- Managing a crew of 3-10 people
- Plan and prepare work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties for employees to ensure adequate services are rendered to all properties.
- Train, develop and supervise all supervisory staff under span of control. Keep accurate and up to date employee training records.
- Schedule regular team meetings to discuss about business updates, issues and recommendations.
- Create an efficient, communicative and team-oriented environment with all Operation’s staff.
- Regularly inspect and evaluate physical condition of equipment and facilities; recommend repairs, additions and disposals.
- Responsible for scheduling repairs and regular maintenance of all Company equipment including vehicles and trailers.
- May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts or orders parts as needed within Company guidelines.
- Responsible to ensure all trucks have valid license plate stickers as required, proper ownership and insurance, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, jumper cables and any other required items outlined by management.
- Ensure an accurate inventory inspection is undertaken on a quarterly basis along with management and maintenance of all equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years related landscaping experience is an asset
- Minimum 3 years of crew management
- Mechanical background is necessary
- Valid G Drivers License - DZ is an Asset.
- Must provide own CSA approved safety footwear
- Results oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and time lines
- Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills
- Travel to sites for inspection and quoting will be required
- Ability of lift up to 50lbs
- Tolerance to various weather conditions
- Knowledge of plant material mandatory
