Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests warmly, taking orders efficiently and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for accurate order entry and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and ensure a safe environment for all patrons.
- Restock bar supplies regularly, including alcohol, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and utensils to keep service seamless.
- Support event setup service and clean up duties.
Skills
- Proven experience in bartending or food service roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting an asset.
- A knowledge of POS systems an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests enthusiastically and professionally.
- Solid understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours without compromising quality.
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, making change, and managing inventory accurately.
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly while adhering to legal regulations related to alcohol service.
- Dependable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
