Job Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality program and strengthen quality accountability across daily operations. This position will work closely with production leaders and operators to identify quality concerns, correct process deviations, reduce waste, and prevent recurring issues.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day quality program and ensure quality standards and procedures are consistently followed.
- Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and complete daily product and process audits.
- Work in partnership with production leaders to identify, correct, and follow up on quality and process deviations.
- Lead weekly quality meetings and ensure issues, actions, responsibilities, and deadlines are clearly documented.
- Own and report key quality metrics, including waste, audit deviations, and customer complaints.
- Establish waste benchmarks and work with Operations toward a 10% reduction in production waste.
- Investigate customer complaints and internal quality issues, identify trends, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Monitor audit results and work with Production toward an average of no more than one deviation per day.
- Develop a practical troubleshooting-guide process with production leaders so operators can learn from previous issues and resolve recurring problems.
- Train and coach employees on quality standards, procedures, inspections, documentation, and problem-solving.
- Identify gaps in existing quality systems and develop or improve procedures where needed.
- Promote shared quality ownership and accountability across QA, Production, and other operational departments.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of progressive Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading, coaching, training, or coordinating employees.
- Hands-on experience conducting floor audits and identifying product or process deviations.
- Experience tracking quality metrics such as waste, defects, non-conformances, or customer complaints.
- Practical experience with root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to lead structured meetings, assign follow-up actions, and hold others accountable for completion.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with production leaders and operators.
- Strong organization, documentation, and follow-through.
- A practical, hands-on work style and willingness to spend significant time on the production floor.
- Ability to manage priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Commercial printing and/or folding-carton packaging experience is considered an asset.
- Relevant education or training in quality, manufacturing, printing, packaging, or a related field is preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
