Position: Marketing and Communications Assistant (CSJ 2026)
Position Type: Full-Time, Contract, Hybrid
Duration: 8 weeks
Compensation: $17.60 hourly
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Reports to: Marketing and Communications Specialist

Position Summary:
Supports marketing and communications and fundraising activities
Responsibilities:
- Assists with social media content creation and management (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Coordinates external communications to clients, caregivers, donors and others, including e-newsletters, website content, and annual report.
- Inputs data into various databases.
- Creates graphic designs in Canva as needed to support program and event marketing, following branding guideline.
- Assists with other administrative duties.
Education:
- Pursing or Completed education in Marketing.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous Accounting experience an asset
- Highly detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organization skills and accurate filing and record keeping
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly action-oriented and results-oriented
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-cultural team

Requirements:
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
