Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable person to join our team. This role involves maintaining hog herd health, ensuring optimal operation and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with swine however the company is willing to train someone new to the industry. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in hands-on work within an agricultural setting.
Starting wage determined by experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine feeding and general care for swine
- Maintain clean and safe environment for swine
- Conduct inspections to identify areas of improvement
- Operate pressure washer
- Maintain detailed records of feed inventory, medication, and shipping activities
- Ensure all work complies with safety and health regulations and company policies
- Other duties as required
Experience
- Previous experience with swine preferred but not required; training will be provided as needed
- Experience maintaining barn equipment is highly desirable
Requirements
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Within commuting distance of Teulon, MB
- Strong communication skills in English both verbal and written
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to rural location
- Ability to lift, maneuver, and perform duties safely and efficiently
- Ability to stand, walk, crouch, kneel for extended periods
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
