We have been in the flooring industry as a family owned and managed business for over 45 years and have grown to BC’s largest provider and installer of flooring and tile.
Job Summary
This position performs a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient and effective management of receiving and shipping activities to meet customer needs. It is also responsible for ensuring timely delivery of all scheduled orders in a safe and efficient manner. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills; organization and attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities
- Delivering orders in a safe and timely manner
- Receiving, loading, unloading and securing cargo on the truck
- Maintaining regular communication with customers regarding delivery matters
- Reporting any damage to equipment or shipments
- Remaining courteous to customers at all times
- Maintaining a safe driving record and updating driver logs
- Keeping the truck safe and in good working order
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Consistently able to lift 50 lbs
- Clean personal and commercial driver abstracts required
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Industry experience and/or product knowledge is an asset
- Experience in commercial driving, freight handling, or related logistics roles preferred.
Licences / Certifications
- Class 5 Driver Licence (required)
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
