We are seeking a Behavioural Support & Life Skills Coach who is experienced, confident, and highly skilled in supporting individuals to develop independence, executive functioning, communication skills, and meaningful community participation.

- Duties
- Develop and implement individualized support plans that promote behavioral growth and life skills development.
- Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care, medication administration, and routine tasks.
- Use effective communication techniques, including American Sign Language if applicable, to facilitate understanding and engagement.
- Provide emotional support and positive reinforcement to encourage desired behaviors.
- Monitor client progress and adjust strategies as needed to meet evolving needs.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent support.
- Document client interactions, progress notes, and behavioral observations accurately and promptly.
- Support clients in acquiring essential life skills such as communication, socialization, self-care, and community integration.
- Qualifications
- Experience or background in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly preferred in Canada for 2+ years
- Knowledge of Sign Language is a plus.
- Prior support worker experience roles demonstrating patience and empathy is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are MUST for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to administer medication safely following prescribed protocols is a plus
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to empowering individuals towards independence.
- Certification or training in caregiving or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed. This position is integral to supporting individuals in achieving their personal goals through compassionate care and skill development.
