Overview
Perth Home Hardware Building Centre is seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting construction materials and equipment to various job sites while ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, effective communication skills, and experience operating specialized equipment such as forklifts and boom truck.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks for transporting construction materials, equipment, and supplies to designated locations.
- Utilize forklifts and boom truck as needed for loading and unloading cargo.
- Perform routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
- Communicate effectively with clients, site managers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Assist with loading and securing cargo using appropriate rigging techniques to prevent damage during transit.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations to ensure safe transportation at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries.
Qualifications
- Valid DZ driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Valid boom truck operators license.
- Experience operating construction-related equipment such as forklifts and boom truck.
- Mechanical knowledge related to truck maintenance.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites and transportation operations.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time on the road.
Pay: $19.95-$36.45 per hour
