Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive mechanical knowledge and hands-on expertise in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy and industrial equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including heavy equipment, farm machinery, and automotive systems, ensuring optimal operation and safety across our operations.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and Caterpillar machinery.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs utilizing schematics, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Operate heavy machinery safely during maintenance procedures and assist with assembly or disassembly of complex systems.
- Troubleshoot issues related to HVAC systems, industrial equipment, and automotive repairs.
- Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting and when working with electrical or mechanical components.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service tasks while adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and reading schematics.
- Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge with experience in HVAC systems and industrial maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
- Experience with automotive repair and assembly processes is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members.

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

- Oil change: 1 year (preferred)
- Automotive diagnostics: 1 year (preferred)
- REBUILD: 1 year (preferred)
- OVERHAUL: 1 year (preferred)
