Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled EDM Position Operator for steady daytime carbon cutting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, CNC programming, and mechanical knowledge. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision machining and quality production. The position requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work safely within a manufacturing setting.
Duties
- Set up and operate EDM machines for carbon cutting processes, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications
- Program CNC equipment using Fanuc controls and CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks and Blueprint reading
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on EDM, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and related equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and welding equipment to assist with machine setup and part assembly
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications to produce high-quality parts
- Maintain accurate documentation of production runs, machine settings, and quality checks
- Assist with material handling using forklifts and ensure safety standards are strictly followed
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and waste reduction opportunities
Requirements
- Proven experience with EDM operations, CNC programming (Fanuc preferred), and machining processes
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in manufacturing environments
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD software, and basic math skills for measurement calculations
- Experience with CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, hand tools, power tools, calipers, welding, and assembly techniques
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and safety protocols in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Prior experience working with machining equipment such as CNC mills and lathes is highly desirable

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
