Job Summary
SDC Services is seeking experienced Topman, Pipelayers, and Pipelayer Helpers to join our growing underground construction team.

Key Responsibilities:
Topman
- Inspection of materials and piping.
- Oversee installation of piping in the trench.
- Complete checks on grade and alignment.
- Direct and signal heavy equipment operators.
- Load and unload tools, materials and equipment.
Pipelayers
- Install watermain, sanitary, and storm systems to grade and spec
- Set line and grade using lasers and grade equipment
- Read and interpret construction drawings and grade plans
- Perform bedding, pipe alignment, and installation
Pipelayer Helpers / Labourers
- Assist pipelayers with installation, alignment, and materials
- Support trench preparation, bedding, and backfilling
- Work safely around heavy equipment and trench boxes
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years underground construction experience (depending on role)
- Experience with pipe installation (water, sewer, storm) preferred
- Knowledge of trench safety, excavation, and grading
- Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding environments
- Strong teamwork and reliability
Required Certifications:
- CSTS
- WHMIS
- Valid driver’s license
