Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Sewer and Water Pipelayer to join our crew. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining underground sewer and water systems in a fast-paced construction environment.
Duties
- Install sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and watermain systems according to engineered drawings and specifications
- Perform pipe laying, grade checking, and alignment using lasers and levels
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grade stakes
- Ensure proper bedding, compaction, and backfilling procedures
- Work safely in and around trenches, ensuring compliance with OH&S regulations
- Assist with trench box setup, shoring, and safe excavation practices
- Coordinate with equipment operators and labourers to complete tasks efficiently
- Conduct daily equipment and site inspections
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sewer and water installation
- Strong knowledge of underground utility construction methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakes
- Experience working with lasers (pipe laser, transit, or GPS systems)
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 3 with air brakes is an asset)
- CSTS-2020, WHMIS, and Ground Disturbance Level II certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and varying weather
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Assets(Not required, but beneficial)
- Experience with deep utilities and large-diameter pipe
- Confined space training
- First Aid certification
- Experience in municipal or commercial projects

Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as required

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
