Event Driver & Crew (5-Ton Truck) – Part-Time | Event Design Company
We’re looking for a reliable, experienced driver who takes pride in safety, professionalism, and getting the job done right.
This role is ideal for someone who is just as comfortable behind the wheel of a 5-ton truck as they are working hands-on with a team to execute high-quality events.
This is not an entry-level driving role. We are specifically seeking candidates with proven commercial driving experience and a clean driving record.
What You’ll Do
Driving & Logistics
- Safely operate company vehicles (up to 26ft / 5-ton trucks) for deliveries and pickups
- Transport event equipment to venues across Calgary, Edmonton, Banff, and surrounding areas
- Plan efficient routes and adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety standards
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues
Event Execution
- Load and unload trucks accurately and safely
- Set up and tear down event equipment based on direction from Operations Leads and Project Managers
- Ensure all equipment is handled with care and returned in proper condition
Warehouse Support
- Pull and prepare equipment for upcoming events
- Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory standards
- Support general warehouse operations before and after events
What We’re Looking For
- Valid driver’s license with a CLEAN 5-year driver’s abstract (required)
- Minimum 2+ years experience driving 5-ton / 26ft trucks (required)
- Strong understanding of safe driving practices and vehicle handling
- Highly reliable and punctual – this role depends on you showing up prepared and on time
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly and working long shifts on your feet
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Availability for evenings and weekends (non-traditional hours are standard)
- Reliable transportation to and from our warehouse and job sites

- Forklift or mechanical experience
- First Aid Certification
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt on the fly

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
