Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical pharmacy and patient care, with experience in various pharmacy settings including LTC (Long-Term Care) and acute care environments. This role involves ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing patient assessments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize medication management.
Responsibilities
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure safe medication dispensing.
- Provide patient assessments and counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
- Administer immunizations and manage patient care for various health conditions.
- Utilize pharmacy software, EMR, and EHR systems for accurate record-keeping and medication management.
- Maintain inventory management systems to ensure adequate stock of medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in critical care settings to develop individualized treatment plans.
Requirements
- Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution and licensed by the Alberta College of Pharmacy in good standing.
- Authorization to administer medications by injection a must
- Additional Prescribing Authorization preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy software applications and inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Pay: $55.00-$68.00 per hour
