Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roofers Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will provide essential support to roofing crews by assisting with various tasks that ensure efficient and safe project completion. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to high-quality roofing installations and repairs. Duties
- Assist roofers with handling and organizing hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and measuring tapes to ensure smooth workflow
- Support the installation of roofing materials by preparing work sites, including moving materials and equipment safely
- Perform heavy lifting tasks to transport shingles, plywood, and other roofing supplies to designated areas
- Read and interpret basic blueprints or project plans to understand material layouts and installation sequences
- Use caulking tools for sealing joints, flashing, and other roofing components to ensure waterproofing integrity
- Maintain a clean work environment by clearing debris, organizing tools, and disposing of waste properly
- Support carpentry tasks related to roof framing or accessory installations as needed
Experience
- Previous construction experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and measuring devices is advantageous
- Basic carpentry skills or handyman experience will be beneficial for supporting various tasks on-site
- Ability to read simple blueprints or technical drawings is a plus
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing, bending, and working at heights in various weather conditions
- Prior experience with caulking or sealing projects is a bonus but not mandatory
