Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Volunteer Manager to oversee and coordinate volunteer programs within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers, ensuring effective engagement and program delivery. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Volunteer Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive volunteer experience while supporting organizational goals through strategic planning and community outreach.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new volunteers to meet program needs
- Supervise and motivate volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance
- Develop and implement volunteer training programs, including teaching new skills as needed
- Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments to optimize program efficiency
- Organize and lead public speaking engagements to promote volunteer opportunities and organizational initiatives
- Manage data collection related to volunteer participation, feedback, and program outcomes
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop outreach strategies that attract diverse volunteer groups
- Maintain accurate administrative records of volunteer activities, hours, and evaluations
- Plan and execute community events or campaigns involving volunteers
- Monitor volunteer engagement levels and implement strategies for retention and growth
Experience
- Supervising experience in a leadership or management role is essential
- Proven ability in public speaking and community outreach activities
- Strong project management skills with experience coordinating multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Background in marketing or promotional activities is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting related to program metrics
- Administrative experience including record keeping, scheduling, and reporting is highly desirable
- Experience recruiting volunteers or staff for nonprofit or community organizations is advantageous
- Teaching or training experience will be considered a plus

Pay: From $200.00 per week
