REACH Orton-Gillingham Learning Centres are currently accepting resumes for part time OG Interventionist and Math Interventionist positions at our North Vancouver learning centre. The upcoming positions can be part time 2 or 4 days per week for the right candidates. Part time positions are flexible and can be solely after school hours (3:20 - 7:00pm) or include earlier daytime hours (up to five or six teaching blocks/ day) but applicants must be available for training in August and for after school hours at minimum during the school term. Reach is flexible with our working hours for the right candidates so that our team can enjoy the work/ life balance that works for them.
We work with amazingly creative, talented, intelligent children with language-based learning difficulties (including dyslexia) in 1:1 or small groups. We offer a huge library of OG teaching resources to help minimize lesson preparation time and mentoring support for our teaching team. Our staff enjoy a school- term schedule that includes two weeks off at Christmas, two weeks off at spring break, and an optional five or six week summer teaching schedule. Our wonderful teachers are creative, patient, understanding, energetic, and truly passionate about supporting our students with dyslexia and language-based learning difficulties as our centres are deeply rooted in the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
Applicants MUST have an excellent command of the English language and experience working with students in support positions. Training or delivery of math instruction an asset. Additional Orton-Gillingham training provided for the right teaching candidates.
Applicants MUST send resume and a cover letter describing why they feel they are a great fit with our teaching team describing their experience working with elementary students with learning challenges with literacy or math skills. In the cover letter, applicants must clarify their availability for school term positions. Applications without a cover letter will be automatically rejected.
