Bragg Creek Education Services Association (BCESA) is seeking caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Educational Assistants to join our Early Intervention team supporting children at our partnered daycares in Calgary, AB.
As an Educational Assistant, you will work alongside teachers, therapists, and childcare educators to help preschool-aged children reach their developmental goals within their everyday classroom environment.

Hiring Timeline

Compensation
- Starting at $22.00/hour

Hours
- Part-Time: Approximately 15 hours/week (Monday–Friday mornings)
- Full-Time: Approximately 30 hours/week (Monday–Friday)
What You'll Do
As a BCESA Educational Assistant, you will:
- Support children with diverse learning and developmental needs within the classroom
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children
- Implement individualized learning strategies under the guidance of teachers and therapists
- Encourage children's confidence, independence, and participation
- Assist with classroom routines and activities
- Monitor progress and maintain documentation
- Work collaboratively with Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Consultants, Psychologists, Education Coordinators, teachers, and childcare staff
- Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
- Level 1 Early Childhood Educator Certification (minimum)
- Experience working with young children in a preschool, daycare, or school setting
- One or more years of relevant experience (preferred)
- Post-secondary education in education, child development, psychology, or related fields is considered an asset
- CPR/First Aid Certification (asset)

Professional Development
BCESA believes in supporting our staff through ongoing learning.
Monthly paid Professional Development sessions are held in Redwood Meadows, where Educational Assistants come together to learn from our therapy team, collaborate with colleagues, and continue developing their skills.
Interview Information
Please note:
- Interviews will be held in Redwood Meadows, Alberta (just outside of the city).
- Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted throughout July and August.
- Successful applicants will begin employment in September or October, depending on program needs.

The successful candidate must provide:
- Current Criminal Record Check
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation (recommended due to travel to Redwood Meadows for interviews and monthly Professional Development)
