Job Summary
Re:Mind is seeking an Associate Therapist (Contract, Part-time) to provide in-person therapy in Hamilton, ON, as well as virtual services across Ontario. This role is ideal for a motivated clinician who values flexibility, collaboration, and client-centered care.
The Associate Therapist will deliver individual, couple, and/or group therapy sessions; conduct clinical assessments; develop and implement individualized treatment plans; and maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation. The role includes participation in regular case consultations, collaboration with peers and engagement in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
The successful candidate will practice using evidence-based therapeutic approaches while maintaining a compassionate, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed framework.
Associate Therapist – Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and/or families within the therapist’s scope of practice and level of competence.
- Conduct intake assessments, consultation calls, risk assessments, and develop collaborative treatment goals and plans informed by evidence-based approaches.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and ethical clinical documentation in accordance with CRPO standards, organizational policies, and privacy legislation.
- Support continuity of care through appropriate follow-up, referrals, care coordination, and collaboration with other healthcare or community professionals, where clinically indicated and with client consent.
- Participate in clinical supervision, peer consultation, and case discussions to support ethical and effective client care.
- Provide psychoeducation, emotional support, and therapeutic interventions tailored to clients’ individual needs, identities, and presenting concerns.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as appropriate using ongoing clinical assessment and feedback-informed practices.
- Maintain professional boundaries, uphold ethical standards, and practice in accordance with the standards and regulations of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
- Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and client-centred practice environment.
Requirements
- Must be able to work in person in Hamilton, ON
- Demonstrated competence in professional counselling and psychotherapy, including individual, couple, and/or group therapy
- Strong knowledge of clinical assessment tools and the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of empathy, professionalism, and the ability to establish strong therapeutic alliances
- Working knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and interventions
- Active registration/licensure in the province of Ontario (e.g., RP, RP(Q), MSW, or equivalent) - required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage clinical documentation, maintain organization, and uphold confidentiality and ethical standards
- Experience working with diverse populations and providing culturally responsive, inclusive care
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field
- Previous clinical experience in a therapeutic setting is considered an asset
Pay: $90.00-$115.00 per hour
