Job Summary
The Studio/Estimating Liaise Admin supports the Studio Designers and Estimating team by preparing change orders during client meetings, completing cost calculations and quantity take-offs for extras and upgrades, and coordinating information across estimating, purchasing, sales, and construction. This role maintains accurate samples lists and labelling, ensures timely communication and documentation, and reports to the Studio Manager to help deliver an efficient and organized customer selection and estimating process.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Studio Designers, and Estimating Team
- Create change orders while Designers are in their client meetings
- Responsible for cost calculations and quantity take-offs
- Cost calculations of extras and upgrades
- Communicate and liaise with estimators, purchasers, sales team, construction team
- Report to the Studio Manager
- Maintain current Studio samples lists & labelling; update on a regular basis
- Establish and maintain contact with suppliers re: new product sampling, discontinuations, PK’s, etc
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Interior Design
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook. Experience in other database driven systems will be an asset
- Knowledge of residential construction and the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Work independently and as part of a team on day to day tasks and projects
- Detail oriented and goal driven
