Job Summary
Tri Green Landscape Group is seeking a dedicated Landscape Construction Foreperson (Forewoman/Foreman) to lead residential and commercial landscape construction projects. This hands-on leadership role ensures the timely, safe, and high-quality execution of landscaping tasks in the summer and snow/ice management in the winter. The Foreperson is responsible for assigning daily tasks, supervising up to five crew members, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols, and maintaining high standards of workmanship on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with Job Site Manager or Estimator at the start of each project to review objectives, drawings, and expectations.
- Oversee and assist with the completion of landscape construction tasks including hardscaping and softscaping.
- Operate and train crew members on tools such as stone saws, plate tampers, chainsaws, line trimmers, and other hand tools.
- Operate machinery including skid steers, mini-excavators, tractors, and loaders in a safe and responsible manner.
- Read and interpret civil, landscape, and construction drawings/blueprints to guide crew work.
- Delegate daily tasks to crew members and ensure timely and efficient execution.
- Supervise all aspects of job performance and quality control on-site, in line with Tri Green standards.
- Conduct daily inspections of vehicles, tools, and equipment; report deficiencies promptly.
- Coordinate materials and equipment logistics with the Estimator/Construction Manager for each job site.
- Enforce company health and safety policies, ensuring proper PPE usage and hazard awareness.
- Maintain accurate daily records, including crew timesheets, progress tracking, and job-site photos via company reporting tools.
- Interact with clients and suppliers professionally to resolve issues or answer questions.
- Drive company vehicles and trailers to and from job sites.
- Participate in snow and ice control operations during winter months.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education & Experience
- Diploma or certificate from a college or horticultural school (preferred)
- 3+ years of landscape construction or equivalent field experience
- Supervisory or team leadership experience is an asset
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid G-class driver's license (DZ preferred); clean driver's abstract required
- Safety certifications as required by Federal and Provincial regulations (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights)
- Standard First Aid/CPR is an asset
Compensation & Benefits
- $30.00-$40.00 per hour including full time hours through winter

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions; may occasionally work in wet, humid, or dusty environments
- Moderate noise level due to power equipment usage
