Rickshaw Collective is hiring casual, part-time, and full-time Rickshaw Runners for the Halifax summer and fall season, running until the end of November.
This is a unique outdoor lifestyle job for active, social people who want flexible hours, strong earning potential, and a fun role in downtown Halifax nightlife and tourism. Rickshaw runners provide memorable rides around busy downtown areas and the waterfront while getting paid to stay active, meet people, and create memorable experiences for passengers.
This is a great opportunity for a flexible side job or a main source of extra income. You control your own schedule, choose how long you work, operate independently, and are not under constant supervision. If you are physically fit, charismatic, self-motivated, and comfortable pitching rides to pedestrians downtown, you will do very well as a rickshaw runner.
Compensation
Most shifts are 4–8 hours. Average shifts are often around $250–$350, slower shifts may be around $150–$200, and strong busy nights can reach $500+. Cash is earned immediately, and card transactions are paid out weekly, every Monday.
This is a commission + tips role. Earnings vary by effort, confidence approaching people, sales ability, skill, weather, events, tourists and downtown foot traffic. Typical hourly earnings vary from $30 - $80/hour.
