At ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Brampton, we manufacture welded tubes using a variety of materials and finishes including low carbon and higher strength grades with different coatings such as galvanized, or zinc nickel. Our end finish capabilities are used in many industries such as in automotive, furniture, construction, distribution markets and elsewhere. We supply welded tubes of variety of shapes: round, square, rectangular, and elliptical.
We are currently seeking a dependable Licensed Electrician (Midnight shift) for our Brampton Facility.
Location: Queen Street & McLaughlin
Night Shift: 11pm-7am, Sunday night - Thursday night
Responsibilities and Duties
- Install, program, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical controls within a manufacturing setting
- Ensure ongoing and reliable operation of plan equipment and systems
- Complete preventative maintenance as required on machinery and equipment
- Wire new panels for machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot machinery as required
- Program/revise new and existing machinery
- Diagnose and program PLC's and robots
- Select, install and repair busways, flexible and rigid conduit, cable trough, wire and communication cables
- Read, interpret and revise: ladder logic, distribution, mechanical architectural, fluid power, alarm systems, visual equipment and instrumentation drawings
Qualifications and Skills
- Licensed: 442A (preferred) or 309A
- 3-5 years of Electrician experience
- Steel manufacturing experience an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and abilities
- Problem solving skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kgs)
- Flexibility to work different shifts considered an asset
