Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Supervisor to lead and manage daily store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and implementing sales strategies to meet store goals. Bilingual skills and prior supervisory experience are highly valued to foster a diverse and efficient team environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Lead, motivate, and supervise retail staff to achieve sales targets and maintain high customer service standards
- Manage merchandising efforts, including product placement, pricing strategies, and promotional displays
- Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and bookkeeping with accuracy
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to enhance performance and professional growth
- Develop and implement sales management strategies to increase store revenue
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate purchasing activities, and manage stock replenishment
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training sessions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and operational procedures
- Utilize marketing techniques to attract new customers and retain existing clients
- Manage budgeting processes and control expenses to optimize store profitability
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills in all interactions with customers and team members
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in retail management or a similar role
- Strong background in retail sales, merchandising, POS systems, and cash handling
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, and performance management
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, sales management, marketing techniques, and store management principles
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages (bilingual/multilingual abilities are a plus)
- Proficiency in administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, budgeting, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle customer inquiries professionally using phone etiquette
- Previous experience with administrative responsibilities including payroll processing is preferred
