Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide attentive care for elderly individuals with disabilities. This role involves supporting daily living activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence within a home setting. Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately and on schedule according to care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Support with mobility and transfer assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with healthcare standards
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided and any incidents or observations
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities
- Strong patient care skills with knowledge of dementia care and home caregiving practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, family members, and healthcare providers
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor with a genuine desire to help others
- Basic knowledge of medication administration and nursing procedures preferred
- Ability to handle cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards
- Flexibility to work in a live-in setting with adaptability to the client’s schedule and needs
