Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Automotive Technician to join our team! In this role, you will perform comprehensive repairs and maintenance on Trucks, cars, and SUVs, ensuring vehicles operate safely and efficiently. You will utilize your technical expertise to diagnose issues, repair systems, and contribute to delivering exceptional service for our diverse fleet of vehicles. Duties
- Diagnose vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics
- Perform repairs on powertrain systems, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines
- Conduct vehicle maintenance including oil changes, brake services, tire rotations, and alignments
- Repair or replace ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components and ensure proper calibration
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment safely and effectively
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports to troubleshoot complex problems
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards
Skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong mechanical background
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS technology, and schematics reading
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics for various systems including powertrain, transmissions, and electrical components
- Experience with vehicle maintenance procedures such as alignments and diesel engine repair
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes and customer service principles
- Ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software
- Strong understanding of GM vehicles along with general automotive repair expertise
