Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and student-centered Middle School IB Teacher (MYP) to join our team for the 2026-2027 academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for educators with IB MYP experience or those passionate about inquiry-based, concept-driven learning.
Subject areas may include:
- English
- Mathematics
- Arts (Visual Arts/Drama)
- ADST (Applied Design, Skills & Technologies)
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver IB MYP - aligned units using concept-based and inquiry-driven instructions.
- Design units of inquiry incorporating global contexts, key and related concepts.
- Develop criterion-referenced assessments (MYP A-D criteria)
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners.
- Foster approaches to learning (ATL skills) and student agency
- Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Collaborate in IB unit planning and interdisciplinary learning
- Contribute to school life through extracurriculars and community involvement
Qualifications
- Valid BC Teaching Certificate (required)
- Experience teaching middle school (Grades 6-9)
- IB MYP experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with : Inquiry-based learning, Concept-based learning, and IB assessment practices
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00-$84,000.00 per year
