Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and bilingual (Mandarin/English) Purchase & Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic supply chain team. This role is integral to managing procurement activities, vendor relationships, and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in communication data, ERP systems, and sourcing strategies to ensure seamless procurement processes and optimal inventory management. Responsibilities
- Shipment tracking & coordination — keep our import shipments on schedule from departure through final delivery, working with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and domestic delivery partners
- Freight quote management — request, compare, and recommend forwarder options for new bookings
- Accessories & parts purchasing — source and order non-unit items (accessories, fittings, consumables) from approved vendors
- Document handling — review and route shipping documents accurately and on time
- Internal coordination — collect input from sales, accounting, and warehouse teams; follow up on open issues until resolved; provide regular status updates to management
- Continuous improvement — identify recurring pain points and contribute to process improvements
Must-Have Qualifications
- Fluent bilingual Mandarin and English (written and verbal) — you will communicate with overseas suppliers daily / 中英文邮件和电话沟通必须流利
- 2+ years of experience in import logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or supply chain coordination
- Working knowledge of standard import documentation and Incoterms
- Intermediate-to-advanced spreadsheet skills
- Strong attention to detail and organized
- Comfortable managing multiple open shipments in parallel
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Professional discretion with business information (NDA required)
Nice to Have
- HVAC, appliance, or building-products industry experience
- Existing relationships with Canadian drayage and warehouse providers
- CIFFA certification or Canadian customs-related coursework
