Overview Calibre Services is a commercial and residential renovation company located in Okotoks. We are seeking a hardworking and skilled Carpenter/Finishing Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to perform high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work collaboratively with the crew to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to our high standards of excellence.
Duties
- Carpentry & Renovation: Perform skilled carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing work, trim installation, and general site repairs.
- Operational Support: Assist with manual labour tasks as needed, including site preparation, material transport, and cleanup.
- Tool Operation: Safely and effectively operate a wide range of hand and power tools.
- Site Safety: Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the lead carpenter and other team members to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks.
- Reporting: Report any equipment issues, material shortages, or safety concerns to the lead on-site.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in construction or renovation. Familiarity with finishing carpentry techniques is a strong asset.
- Skills: Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction safety equipment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and dedicated to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Documentation: Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Attitude: Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn new tasks and take direction.
