SLACAN Industries Inc. is Canada's largest designer and manufacturer of Poleline Hardware, which includes a full line of Transmission and Distribution products. We service the OEM market including the agricultural, mining and other industries. Our in-house processes include forgings, hot / cold stampings and weldments.
Our company is growing, and we are currently looking for Operators in the Forge department to join the team! This role comes with opportunities to advance into higher-level positions, offering the potential for greater responsibilities and increased earning potential.
Note: This position requires employees to rotate between the day, afternoon, and night shifts

Job Duties
- Run heat treat, bulldozer, bar shear/plate shear, hot/cold presses, upsetters, and other machines & operations as required & instructed, or perform loading duties as required & instructed.
- Receives job instructions and job identification as per above.
- Blows or brushes off dies to keep them free of foreign material.
- Reports and disposal of scrap.
- Lubricates punches, dies, blades manually or with spray as required.
- Checks or gauges parts produced as instructed.
- Reports any variations during run to Lead Hand, Set-up Operate, or Supervisor.
- Informs Supervisor, Lead Hand, or Set-up & Operate if machines or tools are not working satisfactorily.
- Reports/records time and production quantities as required into the shop floor business system.
- Keeps work area neat and orderly.
- Any or all duties as assigned & directed.
Job Requirements
- Job applicants must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
