Role Overview
The Research Lab Technician supports the research unit by processing, packaging, and shipping clinical trial samples according to study protocols. This role ensures the integrity of biological specimens and smooth coordination between the clinic and central laboratories.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipping and receiving in research unit
- Processing samples
- Packing samples and following study protocols
- Communicate effectively with investigators, participants, sponsors and regulatory bodies
- Occasional Subbing for Research Coordinator
- Following study protocols
Requirements
- BSc in a life science field preferred
- Experience in a lab environment (academic or clinical) is an asset
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical trial processes regulations, ethics, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced research setting
