Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, schematics, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The Maintenance Electrician will ensure all electrical components operate safely and efficiently, supporting the overall maintenance and operational goals of the organization.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose electrical issues.
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems using hand tools, power tools, and testing devices.
- Perform maintenance on low voltage systems and industrial electrical components.
- Assist with renovation and construction projects as needed to upgrade or expand electrical infrastructure.
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards or malfunctions in electrical systems.
- Use handyman skills for general repairs related to electrical systems across the facility.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations during all maintenance activities.
Experience
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance electrician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for complex electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in electrical maintenance.
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring and control systems.
- Experience with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation controls is highly desirable.
- Previous handyman experience or general construction background is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
