Position Title: Early Childhood Educator Infant Toddler
Location: 1388 5th Ave, Prince George, V2L 3L4
Term: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 35-40 hours per week
Shift: Monday - Friday, shifts rotating between 7:30am - 5:30 pm (including breaks and coverage)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: $33 per hour (Includes $6 per hour for Licensed ECE as per the Provincial Government’s Wage Enhancement Initiative)

Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators specializing in Infant and Toddler care to join our team. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities tailored to infants and toddlers
- Foster a nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Monitor and document each child's progress, maintaining detailed records of developmental milestones
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum enhancements and classroom management strategies
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained within the classroom
- Use computer skills to update records, prepare reports, and communicate with colleagues via digital platforms
- Manage classroom routines efficiently by utilizing strong organizational skills and time management techniques
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding assistant staff or interns when applicable
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in early childhood education settings is preferred
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education programs is a plus
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French enhances communication within diverse classrooms
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles, teaching methodologies, and classroom management strategies is essential
- Demonstrated ability to use computer operation tools for record keeping, lesson planning, or communication purposes
- Strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and effective writing skills are required to maintain documentation and reports
- Previous experience collaborating with families or working in inclusive environments will be considered advantageous
