Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, managing orders, handling transactions, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and cashiering, with strong communication skills and a focus on customer satisfaction. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Handle cash, process payments, and give correct change using basic math skills
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, workstations, and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation when necessary and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive dining environment
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food industry standards and sanitation practices
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Familiarity with cashiering systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management skills
- Basic math proficiency for handling cash transactions accurately
- Hospitality background or guest services experience is advantageous
