JOB DESCRIPTION:
- This is a field Service Technician job, that requires daily travel to client sites in various work settings and climates.
- Understand and properly operate all compressed air system components
- Repair/troubleshoot all aspects of mechanical & control systems on compressors, pumps, dryers and all related components (except CFC systems).
- Understand and perform preventative maintenance on all components of compressed air systems including compressors, filters, tanks, dryers, cooling systems, room air circulation fans, ducts, etc.
- Design and fabricate machinery, fixtures, safety devices, etc. necessary to accomplish service/repair of equipment.
- Display excellent communication skills and develop working relationships with customers
- Suggest methods to increase efficiency, life and ease of service of all compressed air system components and distribution systems.
- Assist in compliance of shop health, safety and environmental issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting for all mechanics in person and by phone.
- Rotating on call schedule – 24 hour emergency service
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Successfully completed an engineering/technical educational diploma or equivalent experience
- Experience with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting compressors (Atlas Copco, IR, Quincy, Gardner Denver etc)
- Valid G Class Drivers Licence in good standing.
- Clean criminal record check (at our expense)
- Refrigeration experience will be considered an asset
- Demands of this position are highly physical and require constant bending, kneeling and lifting. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Require own set of basic tools, specialty tools provided.
- Training provided to the right candidate
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
