Canine Adventure Den | Industrial Avenue, Vancouver, BC (near Main Street SkyTrain) Full-time or Part-time | $18.25/hour + tips
Vancouver's largest doggie daycare and pet hotel is hiring. We're customer-centric, demanding, and fun — and we need someone who loves animals, doesn't mind hard work, and can keep up with a high-energy room full of dogs (and the occasional cat guest).
We see an average of 100 pets a day, so this role suits someone reliable, physically active, and comfortable with fast-paced, hands-on work. Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) experience or similar is a plus; prior dog experience is preferred but not required.
Schedule
We're open 7 days a week and need coverage across weekends and midweek — 20 to 40 hours per week depending on availability.
What you'll do
- Monitor and manage dog behavior and activity throughout the daycare
- Supervise play to prevent injuries, including in our large fenced outdoor areas
- Maintain cleanliness standards in the play area and clean up after dogs (yes, including pee and poo)
- Wash beds, crates, toys, and play equipment daily
- Follow feeding and naptime schedules for all dogs
- Handle administrative tasks assigned by the Daycare Manager
- Learn and remember every dog's name
- Explain our services and products confidently to clients
- Deliver excellent customer service to pet parents
- Lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
