One of our client is looking for An Aluminum Welder is responsible for fitting, assembling, and welding aluminum components with precision to produce high-quality structural and fabricated products. The role requires strong welding skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced steel and metal fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate welding equipment to weld aluminum parts according to work orders, blueprints, and fabrication drawings.
- Perform various welding processes including TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and stick welding as required for aluminum.
- Read and interpret welding symbols, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Fit, align, and tack weld components before completing final welds.
- Conduct visual checks and perform quality control inspections on welds to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain weld documentation and report any defects or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Maintain and clean welding equipment, tools, and work area.
- Collaborate with fabricators, machinists, and production staff to troubleshoot issues.
- Follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, and ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Welding Certification (e.g., CWB, Red Seal, AWS or equivalent) is an asset.
- Aluminum welding specialization is preferred.
Experience
- Proven experience welding aluminum in an industrial or fabrication environment.
- Experience with steel welding is a plus.
Skills
- Proficiency in TIG and/or MIG welding processes for aluminum.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Basic math skills for measurements and layouts.
- Able to identify defects and take corrective action.
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
