Automotive Shipping Racks Assembler / General Labour
Job Overview
IZA Design and Mnufacturing is seeking a dependable and hardworking Automotive Shipping Racks Assembler / General Labourer to support production operations in a manufacturing environment. This role involves assembling metal shipping racks, handling materials, operating hand and power tools, and assisting the fabrication team to ensure quality production standards are met.
** Steady afternoon shift: 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. **
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble automotive shipping racks and metal components according to drawings and work instructions
- Drilling out rivets, installing new dunnage and re-stenciling racks
- Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and measuring equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality and accuracy
- Measure materials using tape measures, rulers, and calipers
- Perform basic grinding, cleaning, and finishing of metal products
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
- Support other production and general labour duties as assigned
- Implement continuous improvement
- Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, or general labour experience considered an asset
- Ability to read basic drawings and follow work instructions
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physically capable of lifting, standing, and performing repetitive tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused

Pay: $19.50-$21.00 per hour
