Regency Property Inc. is a growing real estate development company specializing in residential and mixed-use developments across the Greater Toronto Area. We are seeking an experienced Architect to support the planning, design, approval, and construction phases of our townhouse and low-rise residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and coordination for townhouse, stacked townhouse, and low-rise residential developments.
- Prepare and oversee concept plans, site plan submissions, zoning applications, and building permit drawings.
- Coordinate with municipal planning departments, consultants, engineers, landscape architects, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code, municipal zoning by-laws, urban design guidelines, and applicable regulations.
- Manage consultant teams through Site Plan Approval (SPA), Draft Plan Approval, and Building Permit processes.
- Review and coordinate architectural working drawings and construction documentation.
- Attend meetings with municipalities, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Provide construction administration support and respond to RFIs during construction.
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect (OAA) in good standing, or eligible for licensing in Ontario.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in residential development projects.
- Demonstrated experience with townhouse, stacked townhouse, low-rise residential, or subdivision developments in Ontario.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Ontario Building Code (OBC)
- Municipal planning and approval processes
- Site Plan Approval (SPA)
- Draft Plan of Subdivision approvals
- Building Permit applications
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite are assets.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with projects in the GTA.
- Experience working directly with developers.
- Knowledge of condominium and freehold townhouse developments.
- Familiarity with CMHC, accessibility requirements, and sustainable design practices.
Compensation
Competitive compensation package based on experience. Flexible arrangements (full-time, contract, or consultant basis) may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
