Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team full time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This position requires flexibility to respond to work assignments as needed, as well as a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Duties
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, dirt, and other construction materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload materials in a safe manner, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members regarding delivery schedules and site conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities and types of materials transported.
- Perform basic maintenance on the truck, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure, as well as reporting any mechanical issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving on public roads.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly dump trucks.
- Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for troubleshooting minor mechanical issues.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is beneficial for loading and unloading materials.
- Ability to handle freight safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

- Surrey, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
