About the Role
As a Department Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the store’s daily operations. Your mission: drive performance, elevate the customer experience, and inspire your team to deliver outstanding results. You will play a key role in both the strategic and operational success of your department.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all daily activities within the department
- Monitor sales performance and implement action plans to achieve targets
- Ensure high standards of visual presentation and merchandising
- Recruit, train, coach, and motivate team members
- Participate in inventory planning, counts, and stock management
- Analyze sales reports and identify opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to a positive work environment and act as a role model on the sales floor
- Perform any other related tasks to support overall store success
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in retail management
- Strong background in fashion retail (asset: experience with branded apparel)
- Solid understanding of KPIs and retail performance indicators
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Natural leadership, strong communication skills, and a hands-on approach
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, customer-focused environment
