Contract: ASAP to October 31, 2026. Part time hours may be available after these times. For the right candidates, we may negotiate early finish. Due to the nature of the organization, vacation requests are restricted. Any time off must be requested in advanced and approved by management. Full availability for scheduled shifts is expected.
Job Summary:
The Front Desk Supervisor serves as the primary on-site leader during assigned shifts and acts as a management representative when senior management is not present. This individual is responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting staff, addressing member concerns, ensuring building security, and maintaining a safe and professional environment for all members, guests, and employees.
The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to confidently handle situations ranging from member service issues to facility emergencies.
Responsibilities:
· Operations
o Open and/or close the facility
o Act as the primary point of contact when management is off site
o Monitor daily operations to ensure club policies and procedures are followed.
o Respond to building-related issues and coordinate appropriate action when required.
o Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, secure, and operational throughout the shift.
o Respond appropriately to emergencies, accidents, and facility incidents.
o Maintain a safe environment for members, guests, and staff.
o Act as a calm and confident leader during challenging situations
· Staff Support
o Provide guidance and support to front desk and operational staff, including Court Reserve, and Clover
o Serve as a resource for staff questions, concerns, and operational issues.
o Foster a positive, professional, and respectful workplace culture.
o Support all departments in difficult situations and help de-escalate conflicts involving members or guests.
· Member & Guest Relations
o Address member complaints and service concerns professionally and efficiently.
o Resolve conflicts using sound judgment and strong customer service skills.
o Escalate significant issues to management when appropriate.
o Maintain a visible presence throughout the facility and provide exceptional service.
· Administrative
o Assist with invoice preparation and account administration.
o Support inventory tracking and ordering processes.
o Complete daily reports, incident reports, and operational documentation as required.
o Assist management with various administrative projects and tasks.
Qualifications
· Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
· Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
· Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
· Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Experience with any Member Management Software (Court Reserve)
· Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
· Ability to stand for long periods of time, and able to lift items up to 30 pounds.
· CPR (Level C) and First Aid Certification
· Smart Serve Certification
· Food Handling Certificate (Asset)
· Background/Knowledge of Tennis (Asset)
· Bilingual, English/French (Asset)
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
