We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team at a busy sushi-focused Japanese and Korean restaurant.
The ideal candidate has previous restaurant or dishwashing experience, but we are willing to train the right person. We are looking for someone who is dependable, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating the dishwasher and manually washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment as needed
- Organizing clean dishes and keeping the dishwashing area clean, sanitary, and organized
- Following proper sanitation and food safety procedures
- Disposing of garbage, cardboard, recycling, and food waste as required
- Assisting with basic kitchen prep and cleaning duties when dishes are caught up
Qualifications:
- Previous dishwashing or restaurant experience is preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Able to stand, walk, lift, and use stairs throughout the shift
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Must have legal permission to work in Canada
