Piatto Food & Beverage Servers
Our Food & Beverage Servers are outgoing, friendly, and committed to creating an outstanding guest experience. They take orders, serve food and beverages, ensure guest satisfaction, process payments, and address concerns with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to a positive, team‑focused environment and support smooth daily operations
- Deliver attentive, guest‑first service and build genuine connections with guests
- Understand and confidently communicate information about Neapolitan‑style pizza
- Greet guests promptly with warmth and enthusiasm
- Direct guests appropriately for takeout and dine‑in service
- Present menus, highlight features, and answer questions about food and beverage offerings
- Accurately relay orders and special requests to the kitchen
- Ensure the accuracy of dishes before delivering them to guests
- Monitor assigned sections and check in with guests regularly
- Maintain awareness of common food allergies and dietary needs (e.g., celiac, vegan)
- Anticipate the needs of both guests and the café proactively
- Follow all sanitization, operational, and health & safety protocols
- Read guest preferences and anticipate needs
- Stay familiar with the menu, modification options, daily specials, and local suppliers
- Use proper serving techniques, including the Stages of Table Service
- Practice responsible alcohol service
- Complete side duties and maintain adequate stock levels
- Cash out and reconcile end‑of‑day reports accurately
- Maintain composure during high‑volume or unexpected situations
- Communicate important information to management to support smooth shift operations
- Address guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally
- Act with integrity and uphold the culture, values, and mission of Piatto Pizzeria and Enoteca
Requirements
- Responsible Beverage Service Certificate (19+)
- WHMIS Certificate
- Reliable transportation to Avonlea Village, Cavendish
- Previous experience is an asset
